YAK Tools

Your files stay with you.

Every currently available YAK Tools utility processes file contents or text locally in your browser. These tools do not upload your content to a server.

What this site loads

HTML, styles, JavaScript, and bundled utility libraries are downloaded from the website host. Like any website, the host may receive ordinary access information such as your IP address and requested page. Selected file contents and text are not part of those requests.

Files and downloads

Selected files and generated results are kept in page memory while you work. They are not saved to browser storage by these tools. Closing the page ends the session. Files you download remain on your device until you delete them.

Future tools

Any future tool that needs server processing must disclose that before you choose files. The local-processing statement applies only to tools that explicitly state local processing.

Embedded pages

If this platform is embedded into another website, that surrounding website may load its own analytics or cookies. Its privacy practices apply separately.
